Absolutely loved our stay here. Chalets are great with an amazing view. Andy and his team were so friendly.Highly recommend the tour out to the waterfalls. Tour guides were really knowledgeable and we had so much fun. The waterfall was a highlight of our stay here. Sad to be leaving. Will definitely be back!
Andy provided my family with an unforgettable ATV tour through the breathtaking rainforest. The tour's pinnacle was a secluded swimming hole adorned with a magnificent waterfall. Andy, an exceptional tour guide, patiently answered all our questions and captured some wonderful photos of us, which he graciously airdropped after the tour.I wholeheartedly recommend this tour for families with children. My four-year-old son had an absolute blast swimming, riding in the ATV, and spotting the diverse wildlife.
What a great experience on Cassowary Falls Daintree Gateway. What a landscape day or night. The property is incredible the chalets luxourios. And the service top of the top. First class, a must do.
We had some time to kill whilst waiting for our croc tour and saw the sign for a falls tour and decided to go. Quite simply “wow” it was a great decision. Andy is an absolute ripper knew so much above the native fauna and flora. Introduced us to his pet (technically wild ) jungle perch and Rudolph the red nose turtle.Our family loved the tour and highly recommend everyone do it. Thanks Andy!!
Absolutely amazing! Cassowary Falls was the highlight of our trip, especially for the kids who had so much fun in the ATV, swimming and learning about and exploring all of the wildlife - which included patting turtles! Friendly and knowledgeable host, Andy, looked after us all. Highly recommend it - very special, it's a hidden gem.
WOW, WOW, WOW....This glorious property takes in views across the Daintree Valley with the back drop of Thorntons Peak and the world heritage listed Daintree Rainforest.Each cottage is very private and surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden, and an abundance of native birds and butterflies. The view from the deck is simply stunning.This place is an absolute credit to Liz and Andy, from the attention to detail in all the fixtures and fittings to the amazing breakfasts that are delivered to your door. Let's not forget the delicious cheese platter.A tour down to Cassowary Falls is an absolute must, with a refreshing swim under the waterfall.We have been so spoilt by Liz and Andy, with an ATV adventure down the iconic C.R.E.B. TRACK.It's a shame we have to leave.....Thankyou Liz and Andy for an AMAZING couple of days.❤️

Beautiful place to visit. Bruce took us out for a tour of the grounds including a stop at the waterfall to cool our feet and feed the fish. Quiet, and far away from the rush of the crowds.
From the minute you enter the driveway on this private property you are greeted with a special energy and spectacular views .On our visit we were privileged to be part of the enchanting waterfall tour travelling through the working cattle farm , rainforest , creeks and more.I can’t tell you everything as it would spoil the surprise.Andrew was our host , passionate and informative about everything on his property and is more than happy to share.This is a must do affordable adventure whilst up in the Daintree area.Be sure to book in advance to secure a spot as the groups are small and tailored for a more intimate experience.I can highly recommend this and would definitely rate it 10/10 , just perfect for all.

Went on a tour with Andy this week and is undoubtedly a MUST DO on your trip to far North Queensland. Our family of five all truly adored the experience (and have been reminiscing on it since). Andy is a highly knowledgeable host, offering insight into both the local flora and fauna. Truly a unique and memorable experience for the entire family - thank you for making it so special Andy.
Awesome. A must do trip. Fun ride out to the waterfall on a gator. Andy is fabulous, such a funny and engaging guy, who’s passionate and knowledgeable about his piece of paradise. The water temperature is surprisingly perfect… no breathtaking chill… and he takes great photos of you jumping in the waterfall …. We went on the tour to the waterfall. Amazing experience, great fun. The turtles come right up to you. Andrew was very knowledgeable and tells you all about the rainforest. Definitely recommend.
We booked this tour in advance. Andy picked all visitors up and drove us through the rainforest to the falls. What an amazing spot to visit. So much beauty and tranquility. Swimming was a unique experience. Saw turtles, lots of fish and an eel.Andy is a great guide with lots of knowledge and funny stories.This was one of the highlights on our Daintree stay. Highly recommend it!

We absolutely loved our tour, we had a personal mess up with our transport and Andrew our tour guide and owner of the property took it into his hands to pick us up himself and drive us home again! Couldn’t have asked for a friendlier and educational guide! Andrew drove us through his beautiful property, the Forrest was incredible and felt like Jurassic park.Andrew also supplied us with insect repellent, we got to see the river bursting with life, lots of turtles, some cat fish, guppies i believe they were? We were able to swim in the beautiful waterfall and the water was 23 degrees, i could have stayed there all day! Andrew made sure we were having a great time and Andrew took lots of photos for us to capture the moment. We had an incredibly fun ride back from the falls and then a cruisey drive back to our hotel in a lovely air conditioned bus. We will definitely be back again and recommend this to anyone who’s in port Douglas! Thank you so much Andrew, great day with awesome memories! We’ll be back! 😊
I booked in for the falls tour and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The trail to the waterfall felt like something out of a movie! I got to see turtles, fish and a very large eel! The waterfall itself was magnificent and the water was perfect, the cute turtle watching me swim was a bonus. Definitely would recommend as a must do when visiting the Daintree!
We had a great time in the rainforest. The falls are beautiful and the water is a great temperature. Our kids loved jumping off the rocks at the bottom of the waterfall.

Amazing experience, exactly what we were looking for. Andy was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. The water was 23 degrees and far warmer and inviting that Mossman Gorge and the small size of the group meant it was intimate. I would happily recommend spending a a few hours with Andy at Cassowary Falls. It was well worth it! We will be back.

We did the cassowary falls day tour and it was breathtaking! Getting to swim in a waterfall was surreal. Andy is so passionate about is work and really kind too which made the whole experience fun! I would highly recommend booking this in, we will be back!

Absolutely LOVED our tour of Cassowary Falls! The scenery is stunning, and our guide Andy was charming, funny, and very knowledgeable. Also - for anyone feeling wary of the swim, the swimming hole feels very safe. Even on a rainy day this tour was amazing.
Such a great experience and well worth it if you find yourself in Port Douglas surrounding areas. The falls were beautiful and are only about 1h from Port Douglas.The trip to the falls was enjoyable. We were picked up from our accomodation and along the drive there were beautiful views of both the mountains and the coast. At the base of the falls we changed from a van to a safari vehicle which was a fun experience, especially to be able to enjoy the nature around the falls. We saw lots of wildlife like butterflies, birds, fish and turtles. The falls were a beautiful sight and a lovely swim in a clear and fresh water was welcome in the warm weather.Andrew was a great host, very friendly and knowledgeable giving great tid bits of information about the history of towns and about the wildlife at the falls. He also took photos of our experience which was amazing as it allowed us to enjoy the moment and not worry about capturing things. He easily shared these to us through AirDrop on iPhone.TLDR; Totally worth it! Great location, great host, affordable price!
This was an absolutely wonderful tour! An easy pick up in the morning, an easy drive up to the Daintree Forest, a very fun ATV trip through the rainforest, and a magical time swimming at Cassowary Falls. Andy was a great guide, took photos for us, pointed out the wildlife and was all around very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area. Would totally recommend this if you’re looking for a half-day tour, minimal walking, a really lovely swim, a friendly and laid-back yet informative experience, and an up-close and personal experience with wildlife (turtles, fish, butterflies, water dragons and birds, but minimal mosquitoes) in a really cool ATV. This place is amazing, so peaceful and tranquil. It is the perfect place to get away from it all. The accommodation is first class and the breakfast divine. All of your needs are catered for.The highlight really is the waterfall experience led by host Andy which is a great place for a swim with a true rainforest experience.Will be back for sure.

We booked Cassowary falls Tour to the waterfall and it did not disappoint! Andy rocked up in a buggy and scooted us off to his private aquarium, the kids loved seeing the turtles, eels and fish. We also got to go for a divine swim under the waterfall. It was beautiful!
From meeting Andy, our guide, he was warm and friendly. Andy met our expectations and then some. Wonderful experience off road driving and commentary. Andy is passionate about the environment.I would highly recommend a day trip to experience the natural wonders of this magical spot.Well done Andy I will visitagain.
Our host Andrew was to put it simply an “awesome human being”. A real carer of the environment, he showed us a great time at the Cassowary Falls- You simply must do this tour which lasts about 90 mins. You simply cant do the Daintree without doing this. Bring your bathers

Incredible experience with Andy today. Took my friends and I on an unforgettable tour. The waterfall was better than any other I’ve seen and the fact we had a whole waterfall to 4 of us for a solid hour + made the experience so much better. Swimming amongst fishes and turtles. All whilst being very informative with info, Andy made the experience fun and educational.For $59 this experience could have cost me double that and I’d still be happy!

Cassowary Falls is truly a 5 star accommodation! The chalet is well equipped from entertainment to cooking and the hot tub was great to use in the cool weather with a gorgeous view to gaze out upon. The views were fantastic and the environment was really relaxing accompanied by the sounds of the nature. Definitely do visit the waterfall which is way better than the one at daintree and go for a dip! The walk back from the falls had fantastic views too! The cooked breakfast was great especially the mushroomsin the sauce! Thumbs up for the great hospitality Andy, Liz and Bear :)
Awesome spot, but it is private property so they only take tour bookings, you cant actually get to the falls, the owner was friendly and explained the booking process the scenic drive was great 👍
We have absolutely loved our stay and very sad to be leaving tomorrow - this is without a doubt the best place we've ever stayed! Andy was a great host, very friendly and engaging, and clearly passionate about the local area, flora, fauna and accommodation.The chalets are fitted out with everything you need for a comfortable stay - having a champagne in the spa at sunset was amazing! All the appliances are top notch (don't even get me started on all the features of the bed), and the extra snacks and supplies included in the fridge were a nice touch. The view from Chalet 3 was phenomenal and we could easily spend hours watching all the different birds and butterflies. Andy also took us on a tour to the waterfall where we had a refreshing swim (and saw turtles and perch), and then a great walk back through the extensive property. 5/5 - do yourself a favour and stay here when visiting the Daintree, you won't regret it!

Highly recommend spending time here at the luxury chalets. The chalets have everything you need to relax - from a zero gravity bed to some of the most peaceful and serene views you don’t get anywhere else.I went with my partner and we had the breakfast for all the mornings that we were there. Andy and his family are extremely welcoming and particularly the private tour towards the waterfall was magical. We will be back!
Magical! Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia! Beautiful location - remote but not far away! Delicious breakfast served to you door. Wonderful hosts. Incredible trails and tour to the falls! And not far from the little village of Daintree where we also enjoyed dinners. Loved it all and highly recommend this very special place!

Enjoyed a wonderul tour to the Cassowary Falls and of the property, a mixture of pastoral and rainforest. The falls are a delightfully breathtaking spot to enjoy a swim in the rainforest away from the crowds. Andy is a warm, friendly and passionate host/guide he will ensure you have a fun and memorable experience.
This place is one of the most magical places I’ve ever stayed in Australia. It was a MUCH needed reminder for how sacred mother nature is and how lucky we are to be exposed to such raw beauty here in our country. My partner proposed to me here in our chalet and the next morning Andy took us to their own PRIVATE waterfall… we were awestruck. The land is so vast and has so much to offer, we were blown away. In addition to the surroundings blowing our minds away, the chalets were above and beyond. There’s only a few chalets on the property which means that it’s super private and quiet and feels like you have the whole Daintree rainforest to yourself. The private chalet had a big bathroom with two shower heads, huge bed with a remote so you can alter the way you lay (??!!), a dishwasher which makes cooking on holidays easy, all the kitchen amenities you could think of, a bbq, chaise lounge chairs for sun-baking, and the best part — a hot tub! I’ve never been somewhere where the owner has given this much attention to detail. It’s obvious that they just want their customers to relax and unwind. A trip we’ll never forget!
Andy was a fantastic tour guide with so much knowledge of the rainforest. His friendly personality and humour made it an even more enjoyable tour. The waterfall and swimming was so much fun, and we came back to a beautiful home made lunch after the tour. We will definitely be returning to stay in one of the chalets next time. Wow! What an amazing experience!!! Andy was an exceptional tour guide with so much knowledge about this stunning part of FNQ. The ride in the 4WD army truck was so much fun! Felt like we were explorers in the middle of Jurassic Park! We went on an amazing rainforest walk up to a waterfall where we filled our drink bottles with the most beautiful clean running water! Then off to Cassowary Falls for a swim! Wow 🤩 this was incredible. The water hole is full of fish and turtles, the waterfall is stunning and the water felt amazing. Our family ranged from 6 years to 70 years and we all had a ball. Andy was there to help us over any tricky areas and make sure we felt safe the entire time. After our swim we were presented with the most delicious lunch of fresh sandwiches, fruit and cakes. This is a must do tour! Thank you so much for today Andy and Family, we will be back!

Our last full day in the daintree for our honeymoon and couldn't think of a better way to spend it. Andy was an amazing host and the trip to the waterfall and the swim itself was incredible.If you pictured swimming in waterfalls for your trip to the daintree I would absolutely recommend Andy and Elizabeth and this Cassowary Falls tour.
Thank you Liz and Andy for creating a perfect place to reconnect and relax. It is easy to see that you have poured so much energy and thought into this experience. The immaculate and well designed chalets were difficult to leave while exploring the walks and enjoying the falls. The weather, sunshine or rain, could be equally enjoyed if you wanted read and relax, or hike and explore the many trails on the property. We will be back, soon.For those who are reading this review to decide if this is the place to pick, here are few more points to consider. The journey to the property is an easy drive from Cairns. If required for a longer stay, there are ample groceries in Mossman on the way if you’re already left Cairns. The Daintree township is also just down the road from the property. Once you arrive at the property you have a chance to discuss how you would like enjoy your stay. Complete privacy and independent adventure if you choose, or a chance to interact with Andy to safely visit and enjoy spots on the property. For those who require connection to the world or a chance to catch up on a series binge the wi-fi is solid and the screen is ready to go. In fact, this would be the place to work remotely if you really wanted to be away from the current challenges. There are more points covered in other reviews and none are exaggerated from our experience. I’ll leave the rest for you to discover.
If you are looking for the perfect spot you can stop now as I have found it! Cassowary Falls is a perfect paradise where you can spend your time doing a lot or very little. The countryside is divine and with a magical waterfall on hand for a moment in time you will never forget you could spend days immersed in the countryside of the property . Or for the explorer you have the Daintree on your doorstep with all it has to offer and for the adrenaline junky you are right at the bottom of the creb track for some 4wd action. I highly recommend Cassowary Falls and it’s fabulous host Andy 😍
Andrew,What a great spot! At last someone who understands that a great mattress means a great stay. Chalet 2 has one of the best we have slept on. Well done indeed. Also a really well appointed bathroom with plenty of space and great toiletries. Love the full size fridge, the kitchenette and balcony with that view! Then there is the spa tub. What a retreat, and we have not left the room yet (and after that delicious breakfast we are unlikely to for a while, why bother, all the comforts we need are right here.)Looking forward to the guided tour of Cassowary Falls. The waterfall and pool are incredible and a must see when visiting the Daintree. The tour was greatly enhanced by Andy’s explanations, which covered the flora and fauna of this amazing location in great detail. Cannot recommend more!

The chalets at Cassowary falls are magnificent. The entire area and falls themselves are breathtaking and tranquil. The owners are lovely - Andy was very hospitable and really has a passion for the area, flora and fauna. There are a number of really quiet, interesting walks you can do through the property - looking at the rainforest and pastures.The Chalets have a private spa, TV, kitchenette, balcony and deck chairs.Would recommend to anyone who loves nature. Would definitely visit again.
Excellent accommodation with high end facilities, beautiful view, complete privacy and extremely quiet location (amazing stars) and the all-terrain vehicle tour of the property is the best we've ever encountered. Andy's passion for the local flora and fauna is not only educational but very entertaining rounded off with such delicious (and huge) breakfasts courtesy of his wife Elizabeth's cooking expertise made this short 3 night stay faultless. Only issue was we wish we were staying longer. Highly recommended.
I have stayed there multiple times and it is the most perfect place in the world to de compress and just enjoy the beauty of the Daintree. The hosts are warm and welcoming... at better bespoke experiance could not be found around there, than this destination..
This incredible slice of heaven is an absolute must see! The chalets are of the highest quality, with top of the line facilities and beautiful little touches. We can’t fault our hosts who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and looked after. Swimming at the hidden waterfall, eating grapefruit straight from the tree and relaxing in the enormous, private spa overlooking the gorgeous, sweeping countryside are just a few highlights of our stay! Oh and don’t forget to try the cooked brekky! So. Good. We honestly couldn’t recommend this place more! It is evident so much thought and care has gone into creating this little haven and it truly is such a treasure. We will most certainly be back!
