This exclusive half-day tour combines the Crocodile Express Upper Daintree Cruise with our own Cassowary Falls tour. Crocodile Express has been delivering first class river tours since 1979. An icon of the region, their Daintree River cruises showcase the diversity and beauty of this vibrant river system. The Daintree Waters Experience includes their Upper Daintree Cruise, which is famous with bird watchers. Gliding through the waters you’ll be spellbound by the diversity of landscapes which surround you. From sandbanks and leaning trees, to a backdrop of rural farms and Thornton’s Peak. This special place is teeming with creatures great and small, including the local big, 4 metre saltwater croc ‘Barratt’. Bring your camera and your sense of adventure. Cassowary Falls will capture your heart. A pristine waterfall in the Daintree Rainforest and one of the few places you can swim, safe in the knowledge there are no crocs here. Just turtles and river perch. Located on a private property, getting here is an adventure in itself – you’ll go off-road into a Jurassic type landscape and feel dwarfed by the mountains and valleys that surround you. Cruise through paddocks, forge freshwater streams and learn about some of the many interesting plants that have grown here for thousands of years. The highlight, swimming at Cassowary Falls. A place to refresh, revive and relax. Bring your towels, bring your smiles, you are in for an amazing adventure.
The 4-Hour Daintree Waters Experience Tour is a self-drive tour. Guests make their way to Crocodile Express in Daintree Village, for a 10am departure – the tour concludes back at Daintree Village at 2pm. The Daintree Waters Experience Tour includes:

You self-drive to Daintree Village and check-in to Crocodile Express for ticketing. Transfer to the jetty for the 1-hour fully guided Upper Daintree River Cruise.

An amazing cruise along the Upper Daintree River. Cruising the shallows and watching for the locals. The Eco River Tour Guides are keen naturalists and will point out the many creatures you may see on the tour. Return Daintree Jetty.

Light Lunch @ Croc Expresso Café which prides itself on serving and using local produce and products. Can cater for GF, Vegan & Vegetarian.

Pick-Up for Cassowary Falls. Jump aboard the comfortable, air-conditioned coach for the short 15-minute transfer to the private Gateway to Cassowary Falls property.

Arrive at Gateway Cassowary Falls. The off-road adventure begins! Climb aboard for a fully guided drive through this privately owned property. The landscape will amaze and inspire. Towering mountains, sliding down to grassy fields with grazing cattle.

Swimming at Cassowary Falls. Never fear, absolutely no crocodiles here, just a beautiful freshwater waterfall tumbling down into a cool pool below. Fringed with ferns, grasses and leaning trees, this is a magical landscape for sure. Plenty of time to refresh and relax.

Depart Gateway Cassowary Falls. Back on the coach for your return transfer to Daintree Village.

Return Daintree Village. We wave goodbye and leave you with memories to last a lifetime.
