WOW, WOW, WOW.... This glorious property takes in views across the Daintree Valley with the back drop of Thorntons Peak and the world heritage listed Daintree Rainforest. Each chalet is very private and surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden, and an abundance of native birds and butterflies. The view from the deck is simply stunning. This place is an absolute credit to Liz and Andy, from the attention to detail in all the fixtures and fittings to the amazing breakfasts that are delivered to your door. Let's not forget the delicious cheese platter. A tour down to Cassowary Falls is an absolute must, with a refreshing swim under the waterfall. Thank you Liz and Andy for an AMAZING couple of days.❤️

Traveled the entire eastern Australian coast and this was our favorite place!! Liked everything!!! New chalet with amazing views, high end appliances (bed, hot tub spa, TV, Bluetooth speaker) and delicious breakfast and full kitchen and grill to cook! Stocked fridge and the nicest, friendliest and most accommodating hosts possible! Do the waterfall tour - amazing!! Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend! This place is one of the most magical places I’ve ever stayed in Australia. It was a MUCH needed reminder for how sacred mother nature is and how lucky we are to be exposed to such raw beauty here in our country. My partner proposed to me here in our chalet and the next morning Andy took us to their own PRIVATE waterfall - we were awestruck. The land is so vast and has so much to offer, we were blown away. In addition to the surroundings blowing our minds away, the chalets were above and beyond. There’s only a few chalets on the property which means that it’s super private and quiet and feels like you have the whole Daintree rainforest to yourself. The private chalet had a big bathroom with two shower heads, a dishwasher which makes cooking on holidays easy, all the kitchen amenities you could think of, a BBQ, chaise lounge chairs for sun-baking, and the best part — a hot tub! I’ve never been somewhere where the owner has given this much attention to detail. It’s obvious that they just want their customers to relax and unwind. A trip we’ll never forget!

Just an awesome hidden gem. From the detail in the room, to the mountain views each morning. Then there was the private waterfall tour, a must do if staying here. Then the surprise cheese, crackers, fruit platter with a lovely bottle of bubbly. Thanks Andy and Liz. You did a fantastic job.

Our stay at Gateway Cassowary Falls , has been nothing short of amazing. The chalet’s are luxurious and sophisticated! All the mod cons and creature comforts to make our stay all the more pleasurable. Elizabeth, you are a superb chef! Thank you for our glorious breakfast. Delicious beyond words *chefs kiss*. Andy, your passion for this farm and all it has to offer, is intoxicating. You clearly love what you do and we couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable mini tour of your property. Let me tell you, folks, the waterfall is pure magic!

Andy and Liz have created a tranquil, unique experience rarely found in accommodation elsewhere. The luxurious Chalets are well equipped and set in amongst the greenery of the farm, offering privacy and a visual array of floral, colourful butterflies and bird life to observe whilst dining or relaxing on the balcony overlooking stunning views of the Daintree Rainforest. Andy delivers a delicious breakfast to begin your day of relaxing, swimming in the infinity pool or your own private spa, or being taken to see the spectacular Cassowary Falls on a private tour narrated by Andy, of this ancient rainforest experience. Everything from native herbs and fruits, under a thick canopy of treetops, to creatures not found elsewhere. At the Falls, you can stay, swim and enjoy a picnic prepared by your hosts on request in complete privacy. The evening sunset, changes the skyline provides a pleasant backdrop to a relaxing spa and a glass of wine. The Garrity family are excellent hosts and endeavour to fulfill your every request their mission is to have their guests experience this unique opportunity.

This place is absolutely beautiful and well worth the visit. We stayed an extra night we loved it so much. The chalet was gorgeous with a full kitchen, bbq and the spa was a lovely accessory. We enjoyed a fun adventure with Andy through the property with information on the local rainforest and animals. We will definitely be back and can’t recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favour and come see for yourself ♥️

Location was amazing. Peaceful, beautiful, great views, stunning property. Only about 50minutes drive into Port Douglas so a great place for peace and tranquilty but still able to partake in the Port activities. Butterflies - so many, so beautiful. Great ride up to beautiful Cassowary Falls with Andy, the host, meeting the local eels, fish and turtles. The accommodation was so well presented with great facilities - loved the spa, the comfy chairs on the deck, the thoughtful touches such as fresh butter and milk in the fridge, lots of ice in the freezer, plenty of coffee including a choice, the grapefruit dropping off the trees outside were delicious. And how could I forget the breakfast! Those mushrooms were amazing and so was everything on the plate. Thank you to our 5 star hosts.

Everything about this property is absolutely exceptional! The location is beautiful, the colony of butterflies were a marvel to watch everyday, the hosts are great. Make sure to book a tour of the private falls through the rainforest on the property with Andy! The chalet felt luxurious and so comfortable, we will be back.

Excellent accommodation with high end facilities, beautiful view, complete privacy and extremely quiet location (amazing stars) and the all-terrain vehicle tour of the property is the best we've ever encountered. Andy's passion for the local flora and fauna is not only educational but very entertaining rounded off with such delicious (and huge) breakfasts courtesy of his wife Elizabeth's cooking expertise made this short 3 night stay faultless. Only issue was we wish we were staying longer. Highly recommended.

This incredible slice of heaven is an absolute must see! The chalets are of the highest quality, with top of the line facilities and beautiful little touches. We can’t fault our hosts who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and looked after. Swimming at the hidden waterfall, eating grapefruit straight from the tree and relaxing in the enormous, private spa overlooking the gorgeous, sweeping countryside are just a few highlights of our stay! Oh and don’t forget to try the cooked brekky! So. Good. We honestly couldn’t recommend this place more! It is evident so much thought and care has gone into creating this little haven and it truly is such a treasure. We will most certainly be back!

Fantastic place to stay! Wake up with coffee and watch the mist rising off the rainforest mountains. About a million Ulysses Butterflies flapping around the place and so many beautiful birds. Loved the rainforest walk and the sunset trip to Cassowary Falls was awesome, such a magical place. A must do for sure! Definitely recommend.

Thank you Liz and Andy for creating a perfect place to reconnect and relax. It is easy to see that you have poured so much energy and thought into this experience. The immaculate and well designed chalets were difficult to leave while exploring the walks and enjoying the falls. The weather, sunshine or rain, could be equally enjoyed if you wanted read and relax, or hike and explore the many trails on the property. For those who are reading this review to decide if this is the place to pick, here are few more points to consider. The journey to the property is an easy drive from Cairns. If required for a longer stay, there are ample groceries in Mossman on the way if you’re already left Cairns. The Daintree township is also just down the road from the property. Once you arrive at the property you have a chance to discuss how you would like enjoy your stay. Complete privacy and independent adventure if you choose, or a chance to interact with Andy to safely visit and enjoy spots on the property. For those who require connection to the world or a chance to catch up on a series binge the wi-fi is solid and the screen is ready to go. In fact, this would be the place to work remotely if you really wanted to be away from the current challenges. There are more points covered in other reviews and none are exaggerated from our experience. I’ll leave the rest for you to discover.

I have stayed there multiple times and it is the most perfect place in the world to de compress and just enjoy the beauty of the Daintree. The hosts are warm and welcoming ... a better bespoke experiance could not be found around there, than this destination..

If you are looking for the perfect spot you can stop now as I have found it! Cassowary Falls is a perfect paradise where you can spend your time doing a lot or very little. The countryside is divine and with a magical waterfall on hand for a moment in time you will never forget you could spend days immersed in the countryside of the property . Or for the explorer you have the Daintree on your doorstep with all it has to offer and for the adrenaline junky you are right at the bottom of the creb track for some 4WD action. I highly recommend Cassowary Falls and it’s fabulous host Andy 😍

This was right up there with one of the best stays my wife and I have ever experienced. Walking into the property felt like we walked directly into the most extraordinary hug. faultless, freeing and unbelievably fantastic.

The view is amazing, Andy hospitality is above and beyond. And really love the private jacuzzi with the view. It was an exceptional stay and definitely will come back again. Oh and one more, the tour was breathtaking.
