It’s home to saltwater crocodiles, freshwater turtles and an incredible array of colourful birdlife. The best way to experience it, and have the opportunity to come face-to-face with one of Australia’s most iconic predators – the salties – is on a guided river cruise. With expert commentary and a near-guaranteed chance of spotting crocs in the wild, it’s a must-do for nature lovers and thrill seekers alike. Peaceful and unforgettable, with a side serve of living on the wild side. See our Rainforest Indulgence itinerary for details.

DAINTREE DISCOVERY CENTRE

When you’re staying with us, you have a front row seat to the Daintree Rainforest. Our all action tours bring it to life with energy and excitement and a swim at the gorgeous Cassowary Falls, but if you want to see the forest from all its levels, then we can suggest a visit to the Daintree Discovery Centre. This award-winning experience offers aerial walkways and a 23 metre canopy tower, providing views over the treetops. It also has interactive exhibits and displays to further reveal some of the forest’s evolutionary secrets, from giant cassowaries to delicate ferns. A brilliant stop for curious minds and nature lovers. You’ll need to catch the Daintree Ferry to reach the Discovery Centre – see our Rainforest Indulgence itinerary for details.

VISIT CAPE TRIBULATION

You can walk along the soft sand and gaze out towards the Coral Sea, soaking in the untouched beauty and peaceful ambience that makes this place so special. Explore more on the Kulki Lookout, just a short walk from the beach, with the soundtrack of the forest all around. This place is only lightly touched by the hands of man, but you can write your names in its sand. See our Rainforest Indulgence itinerary for details.

Snorkel over vibrant coral reefs teeming with colourful fish and giant clams – if you’re lucky, you might even see a sea turtle. Passionate local crews guide you to the best spots and share their reef knowledge along the way. The Ocean Safari experience is fast, fun and eco-conscious. We’ll show you the rainforest – but you must check out the reef – to see why these two natural assets are so noteworthy! See our Reef & Rainforest itinerary for details.
